Steel Daily reported that Chinese steelmakers start to lift HRC export quotations to South Korea as WISCO, Tangshan Steel, Benxi Steel and Xinyu Steel provide their prices at USD 560 per tonne, USD 585 per tonne, USD 570 per tonne and USD 575 per tonne CFR respectively. Besides, Brazil's CSC and Russia's MMK also increase their offers to USD 565 per tonne and USD 570 per tonne respectively.
Industry insiders noted that "Chinese large sized HRC producers take the lead to hike export offers right now. If this situation continues, then the price is easy to break USD 600 per tonne." |
