According to the port authority, iron ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland increased by 15% to 18.21 million tons in May from 15.88 million tons in April.
It's known that the majority destination is China. Shipments rose to 12.53 million tons in May from 11.21 million tons in April.
BHP Billiton remains the biggest user and the second is Fortescue Metals Group (FMG).
