China's zinc imports may not benefit from a tariff cut in the next 3 months as domestic supply is ample but shipments to the country may get a boost in the fourth quarter on a seasonal uptick in demand.
Last week, China said that it would cut import tax on unwrought zinc to 1% from July 1st 2011 from 3% currently. The country also lowered tariffs on other commodities such as jet kerosene and diesel.
