Production for the week ending August 13, 2011 is up 0.2 percent from the previous week ending August 6, 2011 when production was 1,879,000 tons and the rate of capability utilization was 76.8 percent.
Adjusted year-to-date production through August 13, 2011 was 58,610,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 74.6 percent. That is a 5.7 percent increase from the 55,428,000 tons during the same period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 71.3 percent.
