China's
coal resources will be further concentrated during the 12th Five-Year
Plan period, with 14 large-scale coal production bases to be established
to cover more than 90 percent of the country's coal output, an anonymous
source said on Tuesday.
There
will be 10 super-large coal producers, each with annual capacities of
over 100 million tons by 2015. Meanwhile, the number of coal mines
across the country will decrease to fewer than 10,000, according to the
12th five-year plan for the coal industry.
In
2010, total production of the 15 coal enterprises with annual output of
more than 50 million tons reached 1.38 billion tons, accounting for
42.47 percent of the whole country. Only five producers output over 100
million tons.
