Peru Ministry of Mine posted that Canada tungsten producer Pasta Bueno mine produced 46 tonnes tungsten in January, 2012, down by 13 tonnes or 22% year on year, but up by 76.9% over previous month.
In 2011, Malaga tungsten production declined by 23.8% to 546 tonnes.
Due to the shortage of supply as well as the high price of Chinese concentrates, APT price started to climb up from September 2010, and reached to US$ 460-500 per tonne by the end of May 2011, which now fell back to US$430-440 per tonne.
