Data from Erdos 2011 annual report showed that total sales volume of silicomanganese was 116,100 tonnes in 2011, and the operating income of siliconmanganese sector was around CNY 895 million, declined by 7.52 percent over previous year, while the operating costs proved to be CNY 653 million , increased by 4.25 percent, operating profit rate was 27.03 percent, down by 8.25 percent.
It is learned that among the five major businesses of Erdos, siliconmanganese is the only one that ran with lower profit rate compared with previous year.
However, Erodos adjusted policies according to the changing market. Despite of the lower profit, Erodos managed to complete its production task successfully.
