The current week production represents a 4.8 percent decrease from the same period in the previous year. Production for the week ending November 3, 2012 is up 1.7 percent from the previous week ending October 27, 2012 when production was 1,679,000 tons and the rate of capability utilization was 67.9 percent.
Adjusted year-to-date production through November 3, 2012 was 82,811,000 tons, at a capability utilization rate of 76.2 percent. That is a 3.5 percent increase from the 80,011,000 tons during the same period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 74.5 percent.
