Codelco to Build New Molybdenum Plant in Chile

Chilean copper producer Codelco will invest $400 million in the construction of a molybdenum plant in Mejillones, in Chile's Antofagasta region.

The plan is to process 16,000 tpy of molybdenum trioxide by 2015, as well as produce 32,000 tpy of sulphuric acid.
