SteelHome (China) Steel Price Index
(SHCNSI)
was 97.07 points (4,199 yuan) on 25 June 2019, up 0.44 points (19 yuan)
from the previous trading day. Steel price in key markets saw hike.
Details are as below:
Construction steel:
20mm HRB400 rebar averaged at 4015 yuan per ton, up 24 yuan/t from
previous trading day. Price was increased by 10-50 yuan/t except
stability in Wuxi, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Lanzhou and Urumqi markets.
Medium plate:
20mm Q235B medium plat price averaged at 3999 yuan per ton in 28
domestic markets, up 7 yuan/t from previous trading day. Price hiked by
10-50 yuan/t in Central South China and North China markets and 10-20
yuan/t in Shanghai, Wuxi, Chengdu and Xi’an markets; Price was stable in
East China, Northeast China and West China markets.
HRC:
Price headed up. 5.75mm Q235B HRC average price was increased by 21 yuan
to 3908 yuan per ton in 28 domestic markets. Among the whole markets,
price hiked by 10-20 yuan/t in East China, Central South China, North
China and Southwest China markets against stability in Northeast China
and Northwest China markets.
CRC:
average price of 1.0mm SPCC CRC was 4242 yuan per ton in 28 domestic
markets, up 9 yuan/t from previous trading day. Price respectively
headed up by 10-20 yuan/t in Shanghai, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan,
Baotou, Chongqing, Chengdu and Xi’an markets and respectively hiked by
80 yuan/t and 50 yuan/t in Zhengzhou and Guiyang markets, while
decreased by 30 yuan/t in Urumqi market. The rest was stable.

II Raw Materials
On 25 June, Tangshan common billet price was increased by 20 yuan to
3600 yuan per ton, (cash, tax included, ex-works). Spot products in
Tangshan billet market were priced at 3680-3690 yuan per with flat
transaction. Production limit and stoppage policy was issued in Tangshan
City, which made traders hold positive attitude toward the market later
on.
On 25 June, iron ore market saw both hike and decline. SteelHome data
showed that
China Domestic Iron Ore Price Index (SHCNDOI)
65%
was 887 yuan per ton, unchanged and SteelHome Imported Iron Ore Price
Index (SHCNIOI) 62% was 115.51 dollars per
ton, down 0.01 dollar/t from previous day.
Spot ore transacting price saw both stability and decline at China
ports, For instance, PB fines trading price was 839 yuan per ton at
Qingdao port and PB Fines at Caofeidian port were traded at 842 yuan per
ton with sparse transactions.
Seaborne market ran weak.
