Recently, Dongei Special Steel has succeeded in producing DT550 Stainless Wire Rod with high hardenability, excellent corrosion resistance, which not only accelerates its process of localization, but also greatly improves competitiveness of Dongbei Special Steel’s products in the market.
Possessed the character of high hardenability and excellent corrosion resistance, DT550 has a higher requirement for techniques than common stainless steel, hence difficult production. Under the cooperation of technicians and workers in Dongbei Special Steel, hardenability was obviously improved by adjusting microelement such as Cr，Mo. Finally, DT550 Stainless Wire Rod which both meets quality standard and customers’ demand has been successfully produced.
According to the feedback, its cold working and heat treatment meet the standards of the same kind products in the foreign countries and its pitting-corrosion resistance and electrode potential meet the level of SUS304, which satisfy customers’ requirements for screws with high hardenability and excellent corrosion resistance.
Dongbei Special Steel DT550 Stainless Wire Rod is mainly applied in shipping and aviation, and is used to produce components with requirements for high corrosion resistance such as tapping screw and high strength nail.
