On November 8, Shanxi Enterprise Federation and Shanxi Entrepreneur Association jointly released the top 100 enterprises of Shanxi Province in 2019, Lu'an Group ranked first with an operating revenue of 177542 million yuan; Shanxi Coking Coal Group ranked second with an operating revenue of 176565 million yuan; Datong Coal Mine Group ranked third with an operating revenue of 176514 million yuan.
In 2019, the top 100 enterprises in Shanxi Province showed the trend of total assets growth, business income rise and net profit growth. Specifically, the total assets of the top 100 enterprises in Shanxi reached 3806.841 billion yuan, an increase of 19.47% on a yearly basis; the total operating revenue was 1870.85 billion yuan, an increase of 20.29% on year, including 7 enterprises with operating revenue of over 100 billion yuan. The total net profit was 62.587 billion yuan, an increase of 97.38% over the previous year.
In terms of regional distribution, more than half of the top 100 enterprises are concentrated in Taiyuan, Changzhi and Jinzhong, which proves the competitiveness of these three cities in the regional economy.
The second industry, large energy and heavy chemical enterprises are still the core of Shanxi national economy. The development of service industry in Shanxi Province has been improved in scale, structure, competitiveness and specialization. However, it is necessary to focus on accelerating the development of service industry and strive to build it into a new engine of sustainable economic and social development in Shanxi Province.
