On December 10, it was learned from China Railway Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “China Railway”) that the railway freight volume continued to increase significantly from January to November this year, reaching 3.115 billion tons, an increase of 198 million tons or 6.8 % on year.
In November this year, China's railway single-day loading of vehicles broke the historical record twice, hitting record highs, with an average daily loading of 167,700 vehicles, an increase of 16,300 or 10.8% on year, and a cargo delivery volume of 306 million tons, an increase of 28.75 million tons or 10.4% on year, the first double-digit growth since this year.
On November 16, China’s railway single-day loading exceeded the 170,000 mark for the first time. According to the current good situation of railway freight transportation, it is estimated that in 2018 and 2019, the China Railway Group will achieve a cumulative increase of 500 million tons of freight, exceeding the target of 50 million tons of railway freight three-year incremental plan.
