HBIS Resources Co. Ltd, a China-based company principally engaged in the mining business, announced on Monday that the company's indirect controlling subsidiary, Palabora Mining Company Proprietary Limited (PMC), had temporarily suspended production since March 26 due to the Covid-19 outbreak, expecting operation to resume on May 1, 2020.

It is estimated that about 10% of PMC's revenue for 2020 to be affected during the lockdown.

The main business of PMC is the production and sale of copper ore, vermiculite ore and magnetite.
