Until now, according to the Schemes for Coking Capacity Replacement released by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province, 23.563 million tons of coking capacity from 28 involved coking plants are to be eliminated. 

By 2020, 11.276 million tons of coking capacity are to be retired. Among them, 3.47 million tons were already eradicated. New production capacity to be established registers 18.21 million tons. It is planned that 3.29 million tons of capacity will be invested by the end of 2020 and 6.68 million tons of capacity will be invested by the end of 2021.
