According to the General Administration of Customs, China imported 30.948 million tons of coal in April, 2020, up 5.649 million tons or 22.33% year on year, and up 3.115 million tons or 11.19% month on month.
From January to April, China imported 126.726 million tons of coal, up 26.9% on a year basis. The cumulative annualized imported volume registered 382.273 million tons, higher than the level of last year.
In April, China’s imported coal value reached USD 2.2243 billion, up 7.63% on a year basis. From January to April, 2020, the imported coal value reached USD 9.2387 billion, up 17.5% on a year basis.
