The data showed that the Eurozone’s manufacturing economy increased in July, which was mainly due to the recovered output and demand in line with the unblocked restrictions and lockdowns.
The final Eurozone manufacturing PMI was 51.8 in July, and the number for the previous month was 47.4. In addition, the improvement was widespread as the figures for 5 countries were all above 50 in July.
The specific numbers for Spain, Austria, France, Italy, and Germany were 53.5, 52.8, 52.4, 51.9, and 51.0, respectively. However, the figures for Greece and the Netherlands were below 50, with 48.6 and 47.9 separately.
Although the domestic and global demand was improved, some firms started to cut jobs and manufacturers preferred to utilize previous inventories for production.
