Indian ferrosilicon
suppliers were benefited from Bhutan's blockade and raised their
quotations significantly. However, as Bhutan’s resumption in supply,
Guwahati’s price has begun to fall. The prices were expected to
return to normal within this week.
At present, Bhutanese
manufacturers mainly focus on supplying for previous orders so that
the supply is limited. In addition, the problem of lack of labor in
logistics due to the epidemic still exists. However, local producers
are optimistic about the future, and they think it is a perfect
moment to deal with large amounts of inventory.
Some of India’s urgent
orders still go for Guwahati’s resources, but the ferrosilicon
manufacturers there didn't lower the price yet due to insufficient
supply.
