The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee held a meeting on Friday, analyzing the economic situation and arranging economic work in the second half of the year. The meeting required coordinated progress of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, asking departments related to release Action Plan for Carbon Emissions to Peak before 2030 as soon as possible. Meanwhile, it also stressed coordinating resources across the nation, taking firm measures to ward off projects that consume large quantities of energy and resources. And the departments concerned need to ensure the power supply amid hot summer days.
