According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China produced
83.239 million tons of crude steel in August 2021, with an average daily
output of 2.685 million tons, down 115,000 tons or 4.1%.
In term of production area, production in 21 provinces declined
month-on-month, while increased in 7 provinces. Among them, Shandong
province saw the largest decline in August, with an average daily output
reduction of 25,700 tons.
