As per statistics from General Administration of Customs, China exported
steel of 7.89 million tons in March, up 2.945 million tons or 59.6% year
on year. Steel import in March totaled 682,000 tons, down 329,000 tons
or 32.5% year on year.
In January-March, 2022, China exported steel of 20.081 million tons, up
6.976 million tons or 53.2% year on year. Import totaled 1.913 million
tons, down 1.303 million tons or 40.5%.
