According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported around 64,000 tons of stainless steel flat steel in July this year, falling by 28.5% compared to the same month a year earlier. The decrease was mainly due to restricted transactions caused by fluctuating exchange rates.
Among them, imports from China accounted for the largest proportion, totaling 28,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 44%. Indonesia ranked second with 14,000 tons, down by 17% year on year. The supply from South Korea was 10,000 tons, sliding by 48% year on year.
