CISA Members
During September 21-30, 2023, CISA member steel manufacturers
produced 20.6636 million tons of crude steel, 18.9017 million
tons of pig iron, 22.1591 million tons of steel products.
Daily output of crude steel at CISA member steel manufacturers
was 2.0664 million tons, down 3.15% from the daily output during
September 11-20; daily output of pig iron was 1.8902 million
tons, down 3.31% from the daily output during September 11-20;
daily output of steel products was 2.2159 million tons, up 5.21%
from the daily output during September 11-20.
It is estimated that the national average daily output during
this period is 2.6918 million tons of crude steel, 2.3351
million tons of pig iron and 3.5384 million tons of finished
steel products.
Inventory
Finished steel products inventories of CISA members totaled
15.2468 million tons during September 21-30, 2023, down 510,000
tons or 3.24% from September 11-20, 2023.
