During October 27-29, 2023, the SteelHome China Steel Industry Summit for 2024
Market was held in Nanjing. This event was organized by SteelHome and proudly

900 participants from more than 700 organizations, including over 120 domestic
and international steel manufacturers, as well as more than 80 raw material
companies, joined the event. Additionally, numerous industry stakeholders,
institutions, and media outlets were represented.
At
the special forum on "Steel: Low Carbon Environmental Protection, Structural
Adjustment, and Model Innovation" held on the afternoon of October 28th, Qian

The development trend of the steel industry: Production has reached saturation:
China's apparent demand for crude steel and steel pipes has basically reached
its peak, indicating that the industry is approaching saturation and adjustment.
The Chinese steel industry is entering a new era of high-quality development,
with per capita crude steel production approaching the level of developed
countries.
2.
The challenge of the steel trade industry: the dilemma of the post pandemic era:
the decline in steel pipe sales and the first loss in many years. The operating
costs have been increasing year by year, and sales profits are meager. The
extensive nature of traditional profit models is no longer applicable. Drawing
on the experience of developed countries, large-scale, chain, branded, and
comprehensive service providers will be the development path of the steel pipe
trade industry. This may lead to market trends such as survival of the fittest,
upgrading of concepts, and the constant strength of the strong.
