According to Brazilian customs statistics, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 480,000 tons in October this year, growing by 90.5% compared to the previous month.
During the period, the exports were mostly to the US, Europe, and South America, with separate volumes of around 398,000 tons, 43,000 tons, and 30,000 tons, and the products were mainly exported by suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Maranhão, and Pará. Among them, deliveries from the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo occupied the largest proportion, totaling approximately 354,000 tons.
In the first ten months of this year, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to roughly 3.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%.
