China's Logistics Prosperity Index (LPI) stood at 53.5% in December 2023, marking a 0.2 percentage point increase from the previous month, official data released by China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing on Wednesday.
Though the growth rate of China’s logistics business decelerated compared to earlier period amid a slowdown in upstream demand towards the year's end and adverse weather impacting some part of China, the December Logistics Prosperity Index still indicated a stable rebound trend, with business volume showing consistent growth.
Key indicators, including total business volume, new orders, capital turnover rate, completed fixed asset investment, employment numbers, and anticipated business activity, all remained within the expansion range.
