According to statistics from the Brazil Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), in December of last year, Brazil’s semi-finished steel products exports totaled about 584,000 tons, a month-on-month and year-on-year decrease of 22.6% and 12%, respectively. The export value was US$356 million, decreasing by 21.7% from the previous month and dropping by 22.6% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
In 2023, the exports were about 8.95 million tons, increasing by 11.4% year on year. The export value decreased by 2.1% year on year to US$6.29 billion. Among them, the US was Brazil’s main export destination.
