Recently, Baosteel and ExxonMobil signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) for collaboration on low-carbon solutions in
Shanghai. The two parties will explore business opportunities in the
field of low-carbon solutions, including potential low-carbon energy
solutions, the carbon capture and storage (CCS) value chain, and the
certification of Baosteel's low-carbon footprint products. Wu
Xiaodi, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee
of Baosteel, and Fu Jianguo, Standing Committee Member of the Party
Committee and Deputy General Manager of Baosteel, attended the
signing ceremony of this MOU.
Irtiza Sayyed, President of ExxonMobil's Low-Carbon Solutions
business in the Asia-Pacific region, and his team visited Baosteel
for talks and exchanges. During the meeting, Mao Xiaoming, Deputy
Dean of the Central Research Institute of Baosteel, and Zhao Sufang,
General Manager of ExxonMobil's Low-Carbon Solutions business in
China, introduced Baosteel's carbon-neutral actions and ExxonMobil's
energy transition initiatives, respectively. Subsequently, leaders
from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential
cooperative business in low-carbon solutions, reaching a strong
consensus on their willingness to collaborate on low-carbon
solutions.
Within the framework of the MOU, both parties will actively
collaborate, discuss potential joint research, and study the
development of policies and regulations to promote business
opportunities in the field of low-carbon solutions. |
