According to information released by South Korean POSCO, the stainless steel production of POSCO in the fourth quarter of 2023 was about 380,000 tons, a decrease of 3.6% compared to the previous quarter. However, the stainless steel production of POSCO in 2023 increased by 151% year-on-year, mainly due to the severe impact of typhoon and flood on its stainless steel production in 2022.
In addition, the total steel sales target for Pohang Steel in 2024 is about 33 million tons, which is basically equivalent to 2022.
