According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 93,000 tons of cut-to-length plate (CTL plate) in December last year, decreasing by 21% compared to the previous month and by 19% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 41,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 20.2% and a year-on-year drop of 20.9%. Canada ranked second with 15,000 tons, followed by Australia’s 6,300 tons.
During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$99 million, down by 24.5% month on month and by 26.9% year on year.
