I Review of Steel Scrap Market

Scrap: From Monday to Thursday this week (March 4-7), the domestic scrap prices declined slightly as a whole. On March 7, SteelHome’s HMS Price Index was 3011 yuan/ton, down by 41 yuan/ton compared to March 1. The purchase price of 6-10mm HMS of the leading steel mills in Jiangsu Province, East China, declined by 50 to 2950 yuan/ton. The scrap intakes of the leading steel mills increased.

II Review of Alloy Market

Ferrosilicon: The domestic price of ferrosilicon decreased in some markets from Monday to Thursday this week. On March 7, SteelHome's price index of ferrosilicon was 6437 yuan/ton.

In March, HBIS Group's first bidding price for ferrosilicon was 6700 yuan/ton, including taxes, delivered, which was 320 yuan/ton lower than the purchase price from January to February,

Silicon-manganese: From Monday to Thursday this week, the domestic prices of silicon-manganese declined in some markets. On March 7, SteelHome’ silicon-manganese price index was 6229 yuan/ton. a decrease of 31 yuan/ton from last Friday. The purchase price of silicon-manganese of HBIS Group in March has been finalized at 6300 yuan/ton, a decrease of 150 yuan/ton from the purchase price of January and February.

Vanadium: From Monday to Thursday this week, the price of vanadium based alloys increased by 1000-3000 yuan/ton. The bidding prices of some steel mills such as Guihang Special Steel and Laigang were between 131,300 and 137,800 yuan/ton, an increase of 3000-6100 yuan/ton compared to the previous week. The prices of vanadium pentoxide increased by 1000 yuan/ton.

Molybdenum: From Monday to Thursday this week, the price of 60 ferro-molybdenum up by 5,000 yuan/ton, The bidding prices of some steel mills were between 222,000-227,500 yuan/ton. The prices of 45-47% molybdenum increased by 40 yuan/mtdu.
