On March 18th, the hot commissioning of the 120tRH vacuum refining furnace in the steelmaking division of Linyi Steel Investment Group Special Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Special Steel Company) was successfully conducted. Through trial operation, the composition, temperature, and quality of the refined molten steel all met the process requirements, and the degassing effect was good. The introduction of the RH vacuum refining furnace into operation has created basic process conditions for accelerating the transformation of product structure towards the mid-to-high-end market.

The 120tRH vacuum refining furnace is supporting equipment for a production line with an annual output of 2.7 million tons of high-quality special steel. At the initial stage of system design, a large amount of advanced experience from both domestic and foreign sources was absorbed. It features "three fasts, three optimals, and three intelligences" and is the first set of double-car single-station RH process production lines in Special Steel Company. The system applies advanced technologies such as imported mechanical vacuum pump systems and intelligent one-key refining control systems, which have outstanding advantages such as fast production rhythm, low energy consumption, and high degree of intelligence. In addition, the application of self-integrated technologies such as top lance and preheating lance systems will help improve equipment operation efficiency.

After the project is put into operation, it will comprehensively optimize the production line process of Special Steel Company, marking that the company has the capability to research and develop special steel, laying a solid foundation for the development of gear steel, bearing steel, and ultra-low carbon steel varieties, and holding milestone significance for optimizing product structure and enhancing core competitiveness of the company.
