In 2023, raw coal output in Shaanxi province reached 761 million tons, up 2.3% on a yearly basis, accounting for 16.3% of the national total, ranking the third in China’s coal-produced provinces.
Of this, coal output in Yulin city was 606 million tons, ranking the second in major six coal-produced cities. Shaanxi Coal Industry yielded 247 million tons of coal, up 5.9% year on year, ranking the fifth of top 10 coal producers.
According to data released by Shaanxi Energy Administration, the daily coal output in this province averaged above 1.95 million tons in 2023.
Meanwhile, Shaanxi province sold 682 million tons of coal in 2023, up 1.5% on a yearly basis. Among them, about 510 million tons flowed to other provinces.
In 2023, the total output value of coal industry in this province achieved 576.3 billion yuan, down 5.1% year on year. This province realized 210.4 billion yuan of profits, down 24.4% year on year.
