According to the German steel stockholders’ association BDS data, in February, German steel sales increased by 1.1% year on year and by 4.4% month on month to about 844,000 tons.
During the period, German steel plate sales went down by 0.5% from the previous month but increased by 0.7% from the same month a year ago to about 533,000 tons. The long product sales were about nearly 241,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 17% but a year-on-year drop of 1.9%.
Besides, the German steel stock in February amounted to about 2 million, increasing by 1.25% year on year and by 5.1% compared to the previous month.
