The "2024 Annual Meeting of the Steel Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance and the Launching Ceremony of the Three-Year Action Plan for Digital Transformation in the Steel Industry," themed "Innovation-Driven, Smart Blueprint," was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, from April 1 to 2. The event, sponsored by the China Iron and Steel Association and the Steel Industry Sub-branch of the Suppliers of Intelligent Manufacturing System Solutions Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance), was successfully held in Hebei Province, the province having the highest steel output in China, and carried significant benchmark significance. More than 300 participants attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the "Work Plan for Digital Transformation of Raw Materials Industry (2024-2026)" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was highlighted and interpreted. The official release of the "Three-Year Action Plan for Digital Transformation in the Steel Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan"), the "Construction Guide for Digital Transformation Projects in the Steel Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guide"), and the "2023 Assessment Report on Digital Transformation in the Steel Industry" marked the official launch of the three-year action plan for digital transformation in the steel industry.

Jiang Wei, Secretary-General and Vice Chairman of the China Iron and Steel Association, said in his address that since its establishment in April 2021, the Alliance has developed into a comprehensive platform that adapts to the requirements of the Internet era and links steel enterprises, digital transformation suppliers, research institutions, standardization organizations, and other collaborative innovation entities. It is committed to building an upstream and downstream collaborative, innovative, and win-win ecosystem. In this ecosystem, everyone contributes benefits, grows, and mutually supports. The value of the Alliance is gradually emerging, and its influence, appeal, and cohesion are increasing within and outside the industry.
