Recently, the first batch of pipe racks for the Saudi Aramco CRPO122
project, supplied by Ma Steel, and contracted by Offshore Oil
Engineering Co., Ltd., was completed in Qingdao, marking a significant
milestone in the construction of China's first independent EPCI project
for Saudi Aramco's offshore oil and gas. This achievement is of great
significance for further expanding the Middle East market, promoting oil
and gas cooperation under the "Belt and Road" initiative, and advancing
deeper cooperation.
Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. is a listed company controlled by
China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), and it is the only
large-scale engineering contractor in China that integrates design,
procurement, construction, offshore installation, commissioning,
maintenance, as well as liquefied natural gas, offshore wind power, and
petrochemical engineering for marine oil and gas development projects.
For many years, Ma Steel's H-shaped steel has been widely used in
various marine projects such as ports and offshore platforms due to its
excellent technical accumulation and brand strength. Its high strength,
toughness, and corrosion resistance have been highly recognized and
trusted by domestic and foreign contractors and customers. In October
2023, Ma Steel (Wuhu) Material Technology Co., Ltd. seized market
opportunities and cooperated directly with Offshore Oil Engineering
(Qingdao) Co., Ltd. for the first time, exclusively supplying nearly a
thousand tons of Ma Steel H-shaped steel products.
The CRPO122 project supplied by Ma Steel is the first Saudi Aramco
project contracted by Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. as an
independent EPCI contractor. The project is located in the world's
largest offshore oil field, the Saudi Safaniya oil field, approximately
165 miles north of Dharan in the Arabian Gulf, with a maximum water
depth of about 43 meters. Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. is
responsible for the design, procurement, construction, and installation
of 13 platform pipe racks (including steel piles and caissons), with a
total weight of about 25,000 tons. The CRPO122 project has the
characteristics of "short, flat, and fast," with high technical
difficulty and quality standards. Ma Steel promptly organized production
in accordance with the size and performance requirements of the
contractor for H-shaped steel, ensuring product quality throughout the
process and providing strong support for the timely completion of the
pipe racks. |
