On September 3, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Jiangsu province issued the “14th Five-year Plan for Industrial Green Development of Jiangsu Province”.
Significant progress was made in cutting overcapacity in key industries. Regulations and requirements on reducing and replacing capacity for construction projects in the steel, cement, flat glass and other industries were strictly implemented, and new capacity was effectively controlled.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the total production capacity of crude steel was reduced by 17.88 million tons, cement by 19.19 million tons and flat glass by 27 million weight cases, exceeding national and provincial targets.
