According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, in January, the US’ cold-rolled coils (CRC) imports totaled about 111,000 tons, increasing by 14.2% month on month and growing by 5.8% from the same month a year ago. Meanwhile, the CRC import value amounted to US$123 million, rising by 12.18% year on year.
Among them, Canada was the main US’ import source, with about 46,000 tons. Other main import sources included Sweden (about 12,000 tons), Australia (about 8,000 tons), South Korea (about 8,000 tons), and Brazil (about 7,000 tons).
