The Indian Steel Association (ISA) issued a statement stating that the Indian steel industry has sought tariff adjustments and policy intervention from the government to curb the growth of imports.
Alok Sahay, the secretary general of the ISA said in the statement that these measures are aimed at protecting domestic steel producers and supporting local production capabilities.
