According to statistics from the Korea Iron and Steel Association, South Korea imported approximately 53,000 tons of rebar from January to February 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 32.6%. Among them, 30,000 tons were imported from Japan, accounting for 56.6%, a year-on-year decrease of 32.6%; 6000 tons were imported from China, a year-on-year decrease of 86.1%.
In February 2024, South Korea’s imports volume rebar from was 22,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 47.8%.
