South Korea’s Imports of Rebar Increased by 52.3% in Q1 y-o-y

According to statistics from the Korea Steel Association, South Korea imported a total of 74,000 tons of rebar from January to March 2024, a year-on-year increase of 52.3%. Among them, 45,000 tons were imported from Japan, accounting for 60.8%; 23000 tons were imported from Vietnam, accounting for 31.1%; 9000 tons were imported from China.

In 2023, South Korea imported a total of 486,000 tons of rebar, a year-on-year decrease of 21.4%.
