According to statistics from the Korea Iron and Steel Association, the production of rebar in South Korea in 2023 was 9.49 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5%, the lowest level in the past three years. Also according to a domestic steel industry information agency in South Korea, the average utilization rate of rebar production capacity among the top four rebar producers in South Korea in 2023 was 64.4%, a year-on-year decrease of 12.5%.
