According to data from Canacero, Mexico's steel industry association, in January, Mexico’s apparent consumption of wire rods increased by 6.5% compared to the same month of last year to about 230,000 tons.
On the contrary, the production decreased by 3.6% from the same month a year ago to 214,000 tons. The exports increased by 10.6% compared to the corresponding period a year ago to 27,000 tons.
