In February 2024, coal exports at Newcastle Port fell for two consecutive months, a new low since last September, higher than the level of same period last year.
The latest data from Newcastle Port showed that in February 2024, coal exports reached 10.9844 million tons, up 6.03% y-o-y and down 15.95% m-o-m, amounting to 1.474 billion dollars.
It was estimated that coal export price of Newcastle Port in February averaged AUD$ 204.33 per ton, down 34.54% y-o-y, down 1.92% m-o-m.
From January to February 2024, cumulative coal export volume was 24.0528 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 18.25%.
