According to data released by the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, in August 2019, the total electricity consumption of Hunan Province was 19.068 billion kWh, an increase of 13.9% on year.
From January to August of 2019, the total electricity consumption of Hunan was 122.889 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%. Among them, industrial electricity consumption was 61.632 billion kWh, an increase of 1.5% on year.
From January to August, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 1.035 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 7.0%; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 63.398 billion kWh, an increase of 1.9% on a yearly basis; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 23.290 billion kWh, an increase of 10.5% on year.
From January to August, the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents in Henan province was 35.165 billion kWh, up 10.2% on year. Among them, the electricity consumption of urban residents was 17.041 billion kWh, an increase of 9.2% on year; the electricity consumption of rural residents was 18.125 billion kWh, an increase of 11.2% on year.
