According to data released by the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, in October 2019, the total electricity consumption of Hunan Province was 13.946 billion kWh, an increase of 8.4% on year. Of this, industrial electricity consumption was 7.085 billion kWh, an increase of 2.1% on year.
From January to October of 2019, the total electricity consumption of Hunan was 153.34 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%. Among them, industrial electricity consumption was 75.051 billion kWh, an increase of 2.1% on year.
Electricity consumption in the primary, secondary and tertiary industries all increased. In October, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 160 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 22.8%; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 7.306 billion kWh, an increase of 2.6% on a yearly basis; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 2.909 billion kWh, an increase of 17.5% on year.
From January to October, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 1.394 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 77.319 billion kWh, an increase of 2.5% on a yearly basis; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 29.935 billion kWh, an increase of 11.7% on year.
The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents increased rapidly. In October, the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents in Henan province was 3.572 billion kWh, up 13.6% on year. Among them, the electricity consumption of urban residents was 1.726 billion kWh, an increase of 14.8% on year; the electricity consumption of rural residents was 1.846 billion kWh, an increase of 12.5% on year.
From January to October, the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents in Henan province was 44.886 billion kWh, up 12.7% on year. Among them, the electricity consumption of urban residents was 21.855 billion kWh, an increase of 12.1% on year; the electricity consumption of rural residents was 23.031 billion kWh, an increase of 13.4% on year.
