According to statistics, Indonesia’s billet exports totaled around 265,100 tons in April, greatly hiking by 92% compared to the previous month.
Among them, the exports to the Philippines accounted for the largest proportion, totaling 36,000 tons. Taiwan ranked second with 25,700 tons.
In the first four months of this year, Indonesia exported a total of approximately 750,500 tons of billet, falling by 5% compared to the same period a year ago.
In terms of imports, Indonesia’s billet imports slid by 68% month on month in April, reaching 198,600 tons. Oman was the biggest source, supplying 97,700 tons of billet to Indonesia.
During the January-April period, Indonesia’s billet imports amounted to 1.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8%.
