According to customs statistics, Indonesia’s billet exports reached 1.9 million tons in the first nine months of this year, up by 23.4% compared to the same period a year ago.
Among them, the Philippines was the largest importer with an import volume of around 339,000 tons, followed by Taiwan’s 324,000 tons.
In September alone, Indonesia only exported around 212,000 tons of billet, dropping from 298,000 tons in the previous month.
In spite of a drop in September exports, the overall trend still showed that Indonesia's billet exports achieved significant year-on-year growth this year.
