According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January, Turkey’s cold-rolled coils imports dropped by 25.7% month on month and plunged by 39.7% year on year to about 42,000 tons. Meanwhile, the import value totaled about US$34 million, a month-on-month decrease of 23.6% and a year-on-year drop of 34.3%.
Among them, China was the main import source, with about 12,000 tons. The followings were Spain (about 6,900 tons) and Russia (about 6,800 tons).
