Aluminum stocks at major
Japanese ports were down 2.4% at the end of September compared with a
month earlier, a trader at a major Japanese trading house said Wednesday.
Aluminum stocks totaled 230,400 metric tons
Sept. 30, with 114,200 tons in Yokohama, 104,200 tons in Nagoya and 12,000
tons in Osaka. End-August stocks totaled 236,100 tons.
Stocks were up 36% from 169,900 tons in
September 2009, the lowest level since the data started being compiled.
